Uh oh

We've had some storms roll through over the past couple of weeks and on Friday, I noticed that our electric wires had started to pull away from the house.

So Todd got up on the ladder today to try and re-mount the thingy (does my vocab give away the fact that I know squat about electricity?!) -and got a nice shock and a fireworks show in the process!! Um, yeah, apparently aluminum ladders and electric wires don't mix. So we then had a live wire hanging down in front of our house (that seems like a bad idea), which led us to call our pals at Duke Energy.

Thank god Todd wasn't hurt... Because, yeah, the general contractor who lives next door came over and repeatedly told him how lucky he was to escape from the ladder injury-free... Oopsie!!

Next time? Not touching wires. Lesson learned.
